This half terms topic is celebrations next term its keeping ourselves safe.

And we have had some lovely celebrations this term from birthdays to different countries celebrations.

We are starting to visit Harmony house to start ASDAN units after Christmas.

 

Math’s: This week we have been exploring different sizes and Colours of objects.

English: This we have been working on the formation of letters and words. And looking at the start of a word and the end to find the missing letters. We have been using new Macaton signs within class

Life Skills: This week we have been making breakfasts within class and practicing old skills.

Any wow mentions from the week I would like to say the full class they have done North Ridge proud when we went into the community for Christmas dinner.

Star of the week: Is the full class for the Emily for being really grown up and being brave in her blood tests.

Welcome to Maple Class 2021/2022

This half terms topic is celebrations.

We are starting a new enterprise at the start of the new term, after few more practices making and selling soup and jacket potatoes within school to staff.

 Math’s: This week we have been looking and exploring shapes and colours.

English: This we have been working on the formation of letters and words. And looking at the start of a word and the end to find the missing letters. We have been using new Macaton signs within class

Life Skills: This we have had a Music company come into school which all of Maple class enjoyed.

Any wow mentions from the week is Dilwer has done some fantastic shape and colour work.

Star of the week: Is the full class for their hard work practicing the Christmas concert. They did Maple class really proud.

We are hoping to start a new enterprise in the next couples of weeks.

Math’s: This week we have been concentrating on shapes and looking for them in the natural environment.

English: This we have been working on the sounding and blending the words of the week.

Life Skills: This week we have made vegetable soup.

 

Any wow mentions from the week class full class for making soup for the first time.

Star of the week: Owen for excellent shape work he counted the sides and points of the shapes.

 

Math’s: This week we have been making pictures with different shapes and looking for different shapes within class.

English: This we have been working on the blending words and ordering letters to make a new word.

Life Skills: This week we have been focusing on keeping healthy.

 

Any wow mentions from the week Liam took an active part in PE.

Star of the week: Dilwer coming back into class and be willing to have a go at new activities.

 

Math’s: This week we have been looking and exploring shapes.

English: This we have been working on the formation of letters and words. And looking at the start of a word and the end to find the missing letters

Life Skills: This week we have been looking at new domestic skills.

Any wow mentions from the week Dilwer has returned to class and has worked really well.

Star of the week: for Harrison for trying to build CVC words.

 

 

 

This half terms topic is Relationships and it has been lovely to see new friendships forming and old friends meeting back up from other schools.

 

Math’s: This week we have been matching objects to the numbers given.

English: This we have been working on the formation of letters and words. And practicing phonics

Life Skills: This week we have been painting garden ornaments for our enterprise.

 

Any wow mentions from the week Kiea doing really well with her word blending  .

Star of the week: for all of Maple class for working together as a team.

 

The Duke of Edinburgh as started again and the students are enjoying this. And hopefully soon we will be attending Harmony House building some exciting new Life skills.

English: This we have been working on the formation of letters and words. And looking at the start of a word and the end to find the missing letters

Life Skills: This week we have been painting garden ornaments for our enterprise.

 

Any wow mentions from the week Owen for surprising us with his fantastic counting.

Star of the week: for all of Maple class this week they have all worked really well together and helped each other when needed.
