Welcome to Seal Class 2021/2022

In Seal class this half term our topic is ‘There’s no place like home.’ We will be learning about ourselves and our families, creating pictures of our families in art, learning to throw a ball over and under arm and explore a range of new foods.

This week is Seal class we have! On Tuesday we made a vegetable tart, we carefully cut some tomatoes, peppers and mushrooms. In language and Communication and we have been focusing on the names of familiar objects. Some of us labelled the objects with symbols and some of us said what the objects were. In Maths we have been exploring 1 what it looks like and how many it is.

 

Any wow mentions from the week. Alex Tierney noticing when numbers are out of order and completing the sequence. Well Done Alex!

 

Star of the week: Sebastian Carter kicking and throwing a ball at a target with some accuracy in P.E Well done Sebastian!

 

 

This week is Seal class we have! On Monday we made a fruit salad we cut and peeled the fruit. Some of us were very brave and tasted fruits we hadn’t seen before e.g mandarin, watermelon, strawberries and mango.  In language and Communication and we have been focusing on joining in with familiar texts. Our favorite is ‘We’re going on a bear hunt.’ In Maths we have been joining in with counting songs to 10.

Star of the week: George Parkin for repeating the word bear while we were reading the story ’We’re going on a bear hunt’ Well Done George!

 

This week is Seal class we have been printing, we made a catwalk and walked up and down it to make prints of our feet. We loved it! On Monday we made Pizza ensuring we took turns sharing and using the equipment.  In Maths we have been focusing on ordering numbers to 10 and beyond.

Any wow mentions from the week. Esme Copsey for looking after her friend when he wasn’t feel well. Well done Esme!

Star of the week: Charlie Abel for showing kindness. He has been sharing the bikes outside and pushing his friend in the prams. Well Done Charlie!

This week is Seal class we have been focusing on environmental sounds by listening to a sound and identifing which picture it was. We have also made Jam tarts ensuring we take turns sharing and using the equipment.  In Maths we have be working on understanding and identifying ‘none’.
