Squirrel Class

Teacher: Jo

Supporting Staff: Debbie, Emma and Gail

Autumn 1

This half term, we are learning to be ‘Street Detectives’ by investigating are local area. We are looking at the natural environment in Forest School and having lots of fun learning outdoors.

We are also developing our independent living skills through daily breakfast club and week food technology sessions.

Every Thursday, we enjoy our PE sessions, especially chase games. This half term we are developing our throwing and target work skills.

Wellbeing is a vital part of our curriculum and we love to dance and sing. We also include yoga and mindfulness activities in our daily routine so that we are ‘Just Right’ for learning.

Week Beginning 11 October 2021

Squirrel Class have had a fantastic last week of term. We have worked hard and had lots of fun. This week we have been working on patterns (pegboards, matching socks and cubes) and problem solving in mathematics.

We have also looked at different careers that we would and wouldn’t like to do in the local community. We used our computing skills to type our answers.

WOW moments: Pollie for great walking using her walking frame.
