Rabbit class star of week is the whole class for all being superstars and adapting during the final week in Rabbit class.
As it is the last week in Rabbit class we have been trying to have as much fun as possible. We have doing lots of creative things working with different materials. The pupils have made ice cream which they all enjoyed and we have had our Sports day which the pupils took part in an obstacle course, did some running and throwing which they all loved!
I would like to say that it’s been a pleasure teaching and getting to know all the pupils and I wish them all the best in their new classes next year.

Week commencing 21/06/2021
Rabbit class star of the week is Thomas for following verbal instructions to get changed for PE.
This week we have been practicing for sports day working on our running and throwing skills. We have been looking at the countries competing in Euro 21 and choosing and painting the flags matching the colours. We been been continuing with our pencil control practicing our hand writing and following a variety of lines. Rabbit class have also been looking at sharing and roleplaying in small groups with adult support.

Week commencing 14/06/2021
Rabbit class star of the week is Leo for doing some fantastic listening and participation in all the activities.
This week has been money week and we have done different activities using money such as fishing out coins in a bucket, dropping coins at a target and some role play shopping. The pupils have been practicing for sports day doing running and throwing skills. In Independence and Life skills they have made chips which tasted very nice and practiced their hand writing and letter forming skills.

Rabbit class star of the week is Finley for settling back really well and interacting with his peers.
We hope you had lovely half term holiday enjoying the hot weather. This week Rabbit class settled back well and have coped with the hot weather. We have started our new topic “To The Beach” doing various creative activities. In PE we have been practicing for sports day doing plenty of running which was fun. We have also been practicing our writing skills and number skills.

Week commencing 24/05/2021
Rabbit class star of the week is George for showing some excellent independence skills getting ready for PE.
This week Rabbit class has been fantastic adapting to the loss of the internet and a change to their normal routines and all the staff are so proud of how well they have coped.
We have been having fun filming parts for our summer song doing various fun activities. The pupils have done really well in PE putting 3 moves we have learnt over the half term together to make a small sequence showing brilliant listening skills. We have been working hard on our phonics looking at blending words and recapping on letter and sounds we have previously done.

Week commencing 17/05/2021
Rabbit class star of the week is Finley for doing some excellent communication work.
This week Rabbit class have had another busy week, we have been making grated cheese sandwiches in Life Skills, worked on our phonics skills by matching letters, words and reading captions. We also did plenty of handwriting practice where some of the pupils wrote their own small caption. We have been very active doing a lot of copying action songs and playing the game “James say’s ” where they have been following my instructions and copying my moves. The pupils have been identifying themselves from photo’s and working on our emotions of happy and sad.

Week commencing 10/05/2021
Rabbit class star of the week is Ethan for getting his snacks out of his dinner bag independently.
This week Rabbit class have had another busy week. In science we have been listening to different animal sounds and seeing if we could match the sound to the animal. In PE we made a sequence from the moves we had practiced in the previous lesson. We have continued with working hard on our English and Math’s skills and in art we have finished off our frame and pictures using leaves.

WC 3rd May 2021
Rabbit class star of the week is Leo for engaging really well in all activities and doing some fantastic listening and participation at circle time.
This week Rabbit class have been brilliant, we have done lots of good work in maths and English. We have been looking at sequencing and plenty of number activities in maths. In English we have been working on our mark making/writing skills and rhyming words. Some pupils have shown some fantastic independence skills when getting ready for PE. In Life skills the class have been making milk shakes. Every morning we have been looking at our feelings to see if we are happy or sad and it has been working really well. We are still continuing with our daily mile every morning where some pupils are now running without stopping.

WC 26th April
Rabbit class star of the week is Kenzie for doing some really good work and following of instructions in PE
This week Rabbit class has continued to work really hard and I have been impressed with all their listening skills. We have been introducing new movements into our PE sessions and some pupils have taken the lead giving instructions either verbally or with symbols. Making bear on toast was a big favorite this week for pupils and they worked on their spreading and chopping skills.

WC 19th April
Rabbit class star of the week is Maia for doing some excellent work in PE moving in different ways.
This week Rabbit class have done some fantastic work in English, answering questions from our story Peace At Last, we have also practiced and practiced our hand writing skills. In Maths we have looked at heavy and light and have done some problem solving.
In PE we did some excellent listening skills and explored moving around in different ways from running, crawling, jumping and rolling and we made some lovely chocolate buns in baking.

WC 12th April
Rabbit class star of the week is Kenzie for settling back into school and for being well mannered and polite.
This week Rabbit class have been getting back into our morning routine and the pupils have been fantastic. We have started reading our new book for this half term which is called Peace at Last which the pupils have enjoyed.
Rabbit class have been busy making new playdoh for our Doh Disco, we have been to Forest school, been very active in PE, done some leaf printing in art and done some excellent phonics work.

Rabbit class stars of the week are Finley and Leo for settling back into school really and engaging in all the activities
This week Rabbit class have welcomed everyone back which has been brilliant. We have been working hard on English and Math’s skills doing various activities. We have been into the forest school using our sense of touch to explore different objects, made some cookies, in ICT we have been looking at cause and effect using some new software which they all enjoyed and really worked hard on our independence skills at getting ready for PE.

Rabbit class star of the week Ava for doing some excellent copying of letters independently
This week Rabbit class have started making paper mache models of characters from the Supertato book which was messy but excellent fun. We have been making super heroes from different shapes as well
We have done plenty of reading and we had some brilliant costumes from our pupils for World Book Day. The pupils have been working their independent skills getting their own coats and putting them on either independently or with minimal adult support.

Rabbit class star of the week is Harvey for coming back into school and settling back into the routine engaging in all sessions
This week Rabbit class have been doing some excellent work on phonics looking at the letters and sound of satpin. We have introduced our new topic which is Superheroes and have started our new book Supertato which we have all enjoyed listening to.
In our creative sessions we have begun to make and paint some of the characters from the book to display in our classroom. We have really worked hard on our independence skills this week doing various activities to try and make the pupils more independent, they have done really well.

Rabbit star of the week is George for excellent participation in our morning action songs.
This week Rabbit class have been having our morning exercise in our class due to the weather. We have been copying various actions songs and moving to music. Rabbit class have some really good movers.
We have been working hard again on our English and Maths skills, we have done some music by copying the beats using different instruments, we made some angel delight in baking and valentine cards in art.

Rabbit class star of the week is Maia for settling back into routine and doing some excellent work on phonics
This week Rabbit class have had a really good week. We have been starting our day off with the daily mile which has been really good getting in extra exercise and fresh air which gets the class ready for learning.
We have been looking at letters and sounds, doing various math’s activities, baking and playdoh disco. Our pupils who are doing remote learning have been doing some excellent work and it is always great to see them when we meet on Teams for our class get together.
On the snow day the pupils sent in photos of them having fun in the snow which was lovely to see.

W/C 25-01-2021
Rabbit class star of the week is Alex for when asked to indicate 1 he showed one finger and Alex has made excellent eye contact to all staff responding to requests.
This week Rabbit class has been doing some excellent work on phonics looking at the sound ‘s’. In maths some pupils have doing sequencing and some looking at money.
We have been very creative making things for our Jack and the Beanstalk display which the pupils have enjoyed. Finally, we have made some jam tarts which was good fun.

Rabbit star of the week is Thomas for excellent participation in group activities.
We have had a lovely week doing various activities. We have done some excellent work on phonics and maths. We are reading the book Jack and the Beanstalk and the pupils have really enjoyed listening and taking part in various activities. We have incorporated tasks that relate to the book like planting our own seeds/beans which was fun. We have also made some Lemonade and enjoyed playing in the puddles outside.
